EOT crane, also known as electric overhead travelling crane, is the most common type of overhead crane used in many factories, warehouses, material yards, etc. These cranes are electrically operated by a control pendant, remote control or from an operator cabin attached to the crane.
Types of EOT Cranes

Single girder eot crane
The crane consists of one girder beam, with trolley and hoist running on the bottom flange of the single girder.
The single girder crane has simple structure, low operating cost, quick installation and easy maintenance.

Double girder eot crane

Common Applications of Overhead Travelling Crane
Overhead cranes are important equipment in modern industrial production, lifting and transportation to realize the mechanization and automation of the production process. Components of Electric Overhead Traveling Crane
EOT crane is generally composed of bridge frame, bridge moving mechanism, trolley equipped with lifting mechanism, operating room, electrical system, etc.
The bridge frame is composed of main beam, end beam, walking platform and other parts, which is the basic of overhead crane. The main beam is a sort of load-bearing beam, equipped with guide rails for the trolley to move on. It is driven by the moving mechanism of the bridge, and moves along the track direction of the crane. The main beam is supported on the crane track through the end beams at both ends. The end beams are composed of slab beams and wheel sets. Some bridges are equipped with walking platforms and safety rails. The bridge moving mechanism and trolley power supply device are generally installed on the walking platform.
According to the number of main beams, the crane can be divided into single girder and double girder eot crane. According to the relative position of the crane and the track, it can be divided into top running overhead crane and underhung crane.
Trolley and lifting mechanism
The trolley is installed on the bridge rail and can move in the direction of the bridge. It is mainly composed of trolley frame, trolley moving mechanism and lifting mechanism. Bridge cranes with a lifting capacity below 15t are generally equipped with one set of lifting mechanism, while those above 15t are generally equipped with two sets, namely the main hook and the auxiliary hook. In addition to the hook, common lifting devices include grab and electromagnetic chuck.
The operation modes of overhead travelling cranes include pendant control, wireless remote control and cabin operation.
